CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Wyatt welcomed everyone to the meeting of the Resaca City Council.
INVOCATION
Councilman Brant Talley led the meeting in prayer.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Wyatt led the council meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag.
MINUTES
Mayor Wyatt ask for a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from the February meeting. Councilwoman Adams made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes. Councilman Niles seconded the motion. All in favor, the motion passed. Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to approve the minutes from the February meeting. Councilman Talley made the motion to accept the minutes. Councilwoman Adams seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
NEW BUSINESS
Narcotics Anonymous Agreement
Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to approve the Narcotics Anonymous agreement to allow meetings to take place at the community center each Thursday free of charge. Councilman Talley made the motion to approve agreement. Councilman Niles seconded. All in favor. The motion passed.
UPDATES
The plaque for the civil war cabinet has been installed.
DEPARTMENT REPORTS
No updates to report
SHERIFFS DEPT
Lt. Jack Jenkins gave the report for February. The report is attached to minutes.
LIGHTS
Councilwoman Adams reported a light out on Taylor Ridge Road @ 136 that will be replaced.
RECREATION
Mayor Wyatt gave the recreation report. Report is attached.
ROADS AND STREETS
Councilman Niles reports Valley Lane will need to be cleared of debris. A culvert on Walker Street will need to be repaired. A drain needs to be cleared at Northpoint Subdivision.
MAINTENANCE REPORT
Councilman Talley reported trash removal, cleaning community center, straw removal, sink repair, maintenance on backhoe, tractor, and weed eater. Weed killer sprayed and general work.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to close the meeting. Councilwoman Adams made the motion to close the meeting. Councilman Niles seconded the motion. All in favor. Motion passed.
