REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES

CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Allen welcomed everyone to the meeting of the Resaca City Council.
INVOCATION
Councilman Todd Rutledge lead the meeting in prayer.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Allen led the council meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag.
MINUTES
Mayor Allen ask for a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from the August 13th meeting. Councilwoman Adams made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes. Councilman Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor, the motion passed. Mayor Allen ask for a motion to approve the minutes from August meetings. Councilwoman Adams made the motion to accept the minutes. Councilman Austin seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed. Councilwoman Adams made a motion to approve the minutes from the August 13th Public Hearing. Councilman Austin seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
NEW BUSINESS
Approval for Gordon County Road Dept Bid on Road Repair
Councilwoman Adams gave an update on the quotes from Gordon County Road Department to complete the work on the 2 roads that need repair. Riverview Drive will have a new pipe installed and reroute the flow of the water at a total cost of $3811.82. Walker Street repair is more intensive and will be in the amount of $9157.06. This will come out of Splost Money. Councilwoman Adams made a motion to accept the bid and have the County complete the work. Mayor Pro Tem Wyatt seconded the motion. Councilman Austin recused himself from voting due to his home being on one of these roads. All in favor. The motion passed.
Mayor Pro Tem Wyatt made a motion to amend the Agenda to include voting on a new Security Camera System for Town Hall.
New Security Camera System
Councilman Rutledge spoke with Dependable Security Systems and received a quote for $4950.00. Mayor Pro Tem Wyatt made a motion to have the system installed by Dependable Security Systems. Councilman Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.

ROAD AND STREETS
No new issues with roads or streets.
Sheriff’s Report
Lt Jenkins gave the report. The report is attached to minutes.
LIGHTS
No issues with lights.
RECREATION
Councilman Rutledge gave the recreation report. Report is attached.
MAINTENANCE REPORT
Nothing new to report.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Allen asked for a motion to adjourn the meeting. Mayor Pro Tem Wyatt made a motion to close the meeting. Councilman Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
