MINUTES

PRESENT:           Nathan Wyatt, Mayor

CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Wyatt welcomed everyone to the meeting of the Resaca City Council.

INVOCATION

Councilmember Brant Talley led the meeting in prayer.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Mayor Wyatt led the council meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag.

MINUTES

Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from the October meeting. Council Member Adams made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes. Council Member Keese seconded the motion. All in favor, the motion passed. Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to approve the minutes of the October meeting. Council Member Keese made the motion to accept the minutes. Council Member Adams seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.

 

 

NEW BUSINESS

 

Water main relocation

 

The council discussed the water main relocation during the work session.

UPDATES & UNFINISHED BUSINESS

 

Air Conditioning in community center

 

Bids were opened and voted on at the October meeting. The awarded bid has not been announced and due to further investigation of electrical costs the council will reopen the matter.

Council member Talley made the motion to reconsider the bids for air conditioning installation.Council Member Rutledge seconded. All in favor. The motion passed.

Council Member Keese made the motion to accept the lowest bid from Gilbert Heating and Air of $18,050.00. Council Member Talley seconded. All in favor the motion passed. The ARPA funds will be used to pay for installation.

DEPARTMENT REPORTS

 

SHERIFF’S DEPT

Lt. Jack Jenkins gave the report for September. The report is attached to the minutes.

 

RECREATION

Council Member Rutledge gave the recreation report. Report is attached.

ROADS AND STREETS

Council Member has concerns about oversized vehicles parking in the North Pointe subdivision.

LIGHTS

Council Member Adams reports a new light in the small ballfield is up and working.

MAINTENANCE REPORT

Council Member Talley reports on general maintenance and duties. Fall Festival work. The faucet in library restroom will need to be fixed. All other faucets need to be checked. Council Member Keese and Mayor Wyatt commented on the Fall Festivals outcome.

ADJOURNMENT

Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to close the meeting. Council Member Keese made the motion to close the meeting. Council Member Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
