CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Allen welcomed everyone to the meeting of the Resaca City Council. He announced that we would begin by swearing in the new councilmembers, Nathan Wyatt and Todd Rutledge. Mayor Allen was also sworn in for the upcoming term. Probate Judge Ritchie Parker swore in the new officials.
INVOCATION
The Pastor from Mt Zion Church lead the group in prayer.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Allen led the council meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag.
MINUTES
Mayor Allen ask for a motion to approve the minutes from September, October, November and December of 2015 because we had not had enough councilmembers present at the past meetings to approve them. Councilman Barton made the motion to accept the minutes. Councilman Nathan Wyatt seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
NEW BUSINESS
Line of Credit from North Georgia Bank for Sewer Project
Mayor Allen ask for a motion to renew the line of credit from North Georgia Bank for the Sewer Project. Our previous line of credit matured on December 31, 2015. Councilman Barton made the motion to renew the line of credit. Councilman Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
Adopt Resolution for Line of Credit.
Councilman Barton made the motion to adopt the line of credit. Councilman Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
Approve Alcohol Ordinance revision.
Councilman Barton made the motion to accept the revised Alcohol Ordinance. Councilman Wyatt seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
Approve New Alcohol License for Resaca Grocery.
Councilman Barton made the motion to approve the License for Resaca Grocery. Councilman Wyatt seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
Approve Alcohol Renewals.
Councilman Barton made the motion to approve the alcohol renewals for Flying J, VP & KK Enterprised, Kwik Serve #2 and Kwik Serve #3. Councilman Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
UPDATES
Leg Press for Gym
Councilman Barton said that we have the money in the budget for the Rec Account to purchase this item. Councilman Barton made the motion to approve this purchase. Councilman Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
