CALL TO ORDER
Mayor ProTem Wyatt welcomed everyone to the meeting of the Resaca City Council.
INVOCATION
Councilman Todd Rutledge lead the meeting in prayer.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor ProTem Wyatt led the council meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag.
MINUTES
Mayor ProTem Wyatt asks for a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from the September 10th meeting. Councilman Rutledge made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes. Councilman Austin seconded the motion. All in favor, the motion passed. Mayor ProTem Wyatt asks for a motion to approve the minutes from the September meeting. Councilman Rutledge made the motion to accept the minutes. Councilman Austin seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
NEW BUSINESS
- Mayor ProTem announced that the Preconstruction meeting will be held at Town Hall on October 22, 2019. We should be getting a start date from this meeting.
Updates and Unfinished Business
- Mayor ProTem Wyatt gave an update on the Fall Festival. It will be October 19 beginning at 12 and we will have free food from 12:30 to 1:30.
DEPARTMENT REPORTS
- ROAD AND STREETS
- Gordon County Road Dept completed the work on Walker Street and Riverview. The final amounts came in well below the estimated quotes.
- SHERIFF’S REPORT
- Lt Jenkins gave the report. The report is attached to the minutes.
- LIGHTS
- No issues with lights.
- RECREATION
- Councilman Rutledge gave the recreation report. The report is attached.
- MAINTENANCE REPORT
- Nothing new to report.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor ProTem Wyatt asked for a motion to adjourn the meeting. Councilman Austin made a motion to close the meeting. Councilman Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
