REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING

 MINUTES

CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Allen welcomed everyone to the meeting of the Resaca City Council.

INVOCATION

Councilman Todd Rutledge lead the meeting in prayer.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Mayor Allen led the council meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag.

MINUTES

Mayor Allen ask for a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from the December meeting Councilwoman Adams made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes. Councilman Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor, the motion passed. Mayor Allen ask for a motion to approve the minutes from December meeting. Councilwoman Adams made the motion to accept the minutes. Councilman Wyatt seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.

NEW BUSINESS

The date for the Fall Festival was set for October 20th. It will begin at 12 noon

UPDATES

Ingle House Sale

Attorney Brandon Bowen will prepare a proposal for the stipulations on the sale of the Ingle House to present to the Mayor and Council at the May meeting.

Culvert Repair

Councilman Wyatt reported that the culvert has been repaired and we have received payment from Mauldins Trash Service for the damage.

DEPARTMENT REPORTS

ROAD AND STREETS

Councilman Wyatt reported no problems.

Sheriff’s Report

Lt. Jenkins gave the report. The report is attached to minutes.

LIGHTS

Councilwoman Adams reported she has turned in an order for the repair of the lights at 136/Fite Bend and at Ingle Circle. The light that no one uses and pays for at Taylor Ridge will be removed.

RECREATION

Councilman Rutledge gave the recreation report. Report is attached.

MAINTENANCE REPORT

Councilman Wyatt gave the report.

ADJOURMENT

Mayor Allen asked for a motion to adjourn the meeting. Councilman Wyatt made a motion to close the meeting. Councilwoman Adams seconded the motion. All in favor. The meeting is adjourned.
