MINUTES

CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Allen welcomed everyone to the meeting of the Resaca City Council.
INVOCATION
Councilman Todd Rutledge lead the meeting in prayer.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Allen led the council meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag.
MINUTES
Mayor Allen ask for a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from the July meeting Councilman Wyatt made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes. Councilman Barton seconded the motion. All in favor, the motion passed. Mayor Allen ask for a motion to approve the minutes from July meeting. Councilman Barton made the motion to accept the minutes. Councilwoman Adams seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
NEW BUSINESS
Hazard Mitigation Contract with Gordon County – Mayor Allen advised this is the contract that we go into with Gordon County each year. Nothing has changed except Courtney Taylor is now over it. Councilwoman Adams made a motion to accept the contract. Councilman Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.

DEPARTMENT REPORTS
ROAD AND STREETS
Nothing to report – Mayor Allen advised he has found a man to go to the Taylors road and put crush and run on it.
Sheriff’s Report
Lt. Jack Jenkins gave the report. The report is attached to minutes.
LIGHTS
Councilwoman Adams report no light problems at this time.
RECREATION
Councilman Rutledge gave the recreation report. Report is attached.
MAINTENANCE REPORT
Nothing to report.
ADJOURMENT
Mayor Allen asked for a motion to adjourn the meeting. Councilman Barton made a motion to close the meeting. Councilwoman Adams seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
