Departments

The town of Resaca  currently has a contract with the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office for police services. All citations written inside the city limits of Resaca go through Resaca municipal court. Court is held on the last Monday of each month at 3:00 pm at  330 Walker Street, Resaca GA.

The Town of Resaca operates a Municipal Court at 330 Walker Street. Court is held on the last Monday of each month at 3:00 p.m. in Resaca Town Hall courtroom. The City contracts the services of Judge Robert Sneed to serve as judge; Attorney Cortney Stuart serves as City Prosecutor, and Blanca Torres provides interpreting services for the city. The City Municipal Court has jurisdiction over traffic violations and city ordinance violations.

CSRA Probation Management provides probation services. The Probation is conducted in the same building as the Municipal Court on the last Monday of every month.

The Town Clerk also serves as the Clerk of Court. Job duties includes, but not limited to, maintaining ordinances and council meeting minutes, entering citations and court payments, as well as managing the town website.

The Maintenance Department is responsible for all of the city property grounds and maintenance needs

The Recreation Department currently offers a gym and library that is open to the public Monday through Thursday from 8am to 8pm, Friday 8am-4pm, and Saturday from 8am to 12pm. The cost of the gym is $1.00 per visit or a month membership for $10.00. The library is free to the public and books are available for check out.  There are also 2 computers with internet service, (no printers). There is a children’s playground behind the Recreation Center and a gazebo for the public to enjoy.
