MINUTES

CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Allen welcomed everyone to the meeting of the Resaca City Council.
INVOCATION
Councilman Rutledge lead the group in prayer.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Allen led the council meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag.
MINUTES
Mayor ask for a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from the January 5th meeting and the January 11th special called meeting. Councilman Barton made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes. Councilman Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor, the motion passed. Mayor Allen ask for a motion to approve the minutes from January 5th meeting and special called meeting on January 11th. Councilman Barton made the motion to accept the minutes. Councilman Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
NEW BUSINESS
Vote to move rental money to the Rec Fund
Councilman Wyatt made the motion to move the monies to the Rec Fund. Councilman Barton seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
Yard Sale Ordinance.
Tabled until Attorney can look at it and get a revised Ordinance.
Approve $400 for the Easter Egg Hunt.
Councilman Wyatt made the motion to accept the revised Alcohol Ordinance. Councilman Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
Intergovernmental Contract with Gordon County Ordinance.
Attorney Brandon Bowen will contact Gordon County Administrator and get the terms for the Mayor and Council to look over.
UPDATES
Ingle House Property
Attorney Brandon Bowen advised that the property can be sold at fair market value and to the highest bidder. The money that was used to renovate the property will need to be re-used on another splost project.
Treadmills in Gym
The mayor suggest that we buy 1 new treadmill at a time and purchase commercial brand treadmills that will last longer.
DEPARTMENT REPORTS
Sheriff’s Report
Deputy Nelson gave the report. The report is attached to minutes.
ROAD AND STREETS
Councilman Wyatt reported that there is a piece of metal we need to get up near Resaca Baptist. The road needs to be cut out and repaired with a new tile. The Mayor advised that we have money left in the old Splost that is for roads.
LIGHTS
No report.
RECREATION
Councilman Rutledge gave the recreation report. Report is attached.
MAINTENANCE REPORT
Randy Wheat advised that he has looked at a few options for the pressure washer that the town has approved to purchase but no definite decision has been made yet.
Amanda Williams approached the Mayor and Council to announce her interest in the open Council position. She introduced herself and the Council asked her some questions. She was told to send the clerk her references and they would be making a decision soon.

Mayor Allen asked for a motion to adjourn the meeting. Councilman Rutledge made a motion to close the meeting. Councilman Wyatt seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
