CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Wyatt welcomed everyone to the meeting of the Resaca City Council.
INVOCATION
Councilmember Brant Talley led the meeting in prayer.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Wyatt led the council meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance to the United
States flag.
MINUTES
Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from the
January meeting. Councilmember Talley made a motion to waive the reading of the
minutes. Councilmember Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor, the motion
passed. Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to approve the minutes from the January
meeting. Councilmember Adams made the motion to accept the minutes.
Councilmember Keese seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
NEW BUSINESS
Amendments to the Town zoning ordinance and readoption of zoning map
Tabled until March. The county is not able to produce an updated map currently.
Easement rights for Town Sewage
Mayor Nathan Wyatt recuses himself from this portion because of family and
financial interest. The sewer project engineer, Jerry Crawford, presented the
council with information regarding proposed easement changes for the sewer
project. The route change will pass through 3 properties and the owners will be
compensated through the Town at a cost of $14,500.00 plus gravel. Two properties
will receive $6,000 each. The third property will receive $2,500.00 and gravel. The
change in route will save approximately $40,000.00 in costs. Mayor Pro Temp
Sandy Adams asked for a motion to approve or not approve the proposed route
change. Councilmember Talley made a motion to approve. Councilmember Keese
seconded. All in favor the motion passed. Once the easements are signed, we will
receive the copies.

DEPARTMENT REPORTS
SHERIFF’S DEPT
Lt. Jack Jenkins gave the report for January. The report is attached to minutes.
RECREATION
Councilmember Rutledge gave the recreation report. Report is attached. Randy
Wheat added that the change in weekend Community Center Rentals has been
successful for the most part.
ROADS AND STREETS
No updates to report. Councilmember Keese will ride the city roads with Randy
Wheat and determine areas that need to be covered. He will give a report in March.
LIGHTS
No updates to report.
MAINTENANCE REPORT
Councilmember Talley reports on general maintenance and duties.

Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to close the meeting. Councilmember Adams
made the motion to close the meeting. Councilmember Keese seconded the motion.
All in favor. Motion passed.
