CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Allen welcomed everyone to the meeting of the Resaca City Council.
INVOCATION
Councilman Todd Rutledge lead the meeting in prayer.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Allen led the council meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag.
MINUTES
Mayor Allen ask for a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from the October meeting Councilman Wyatt made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes. Councilman Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor, the motion passed. Mayor Allen ask for a motion to approve the minutes from August meeting. Councilwoman Adams made the motion to accept the minutes. Councilman Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
NEW BUSINESS
Chad Stewart – Gordon County Commissioner Chad Stewart gave an update on the new SPLOST. Resaca will be getting an increase this year, the new amount will be $605,779.00. Gordon County would like to enter into a joint project with Resaca and ask the Mayor and Council to be thinking of projects that they might be interested in working on.
Adopt Qualifying Fees for 2017 Municipal Election – Mayor Allen ask for a motion to adopt the qualifying fees and keep them the same as last year. The fees will be set for Post 3 and Post 4 at $75.60. Councilman Wyatt made the motion to keep the qualifying fees at $75.60. Councilman seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
DEPARTMENT REPORTS
ROAD AND STREETS
Councilman Wyatt gave a report on Streets. Randy Wheat ask about getting no parking signs for North Point Subdivision for the side walks. It was agreed to get no parking signs to put where the walk ways are. Councilman Wyatt will order new signs as needed.
Sheriff’s Report
Clerk Kelly Shaw gave the report. The report is attached to minutes.
LIGHTS
Councilwoman Adams report no light problems at this time.
RECREATION
Councilman Rutledge gave the recreation report. Report is attached.
MAINTENANCE REPORT
Nothing to report.
ADJOURMENT
Mayor Allen asked for a motion to adjourn the meeting. Councilman Rutledge made a motion to close the meeting. Councilwoman Adams seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
