REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING

CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Allen welcomed everyone to the meeting of the Resaca City Council.

INVOCATION

Councilman Todd Rutledge lead the meeting in prayer.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Mayor Allen led the council meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag.

MINUTES

Mayor Allen ask for a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from the December meeting and the Special Called Meeting Councilman Austin made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes. Councilman Wyatt seconded the motion. All in favor, the motion passed. Mayor Allen ask for a motion to approve the minutes from December meeting and the Special Called Meeting. Councilman Wyatt made the motion to accept the minutes. Councilman Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.

NEW BUSINESS

Set the 2019 Qualifying Fees for Election

Mayor Allen ask for a motion to keep the fees the same as previous election. Councilman Wyatt made a motion to leave the fees as they are. Councilman Austin seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed. The fees will remain 75.60 for Post 1 and 2 for the Council position. For the Mayors seat it will remain at 147.60.

DEPARTMENT REPORTS

ROAD AND STREETS

Councilman Austin reported no problems. Randy Wheat will check on pricing to get the tile and road corrected on Walker Street.

Sheriff’s Report

Deputy Jones gave the report. The report is attached to minutes.

LIGHTS

No Report.

RECREATION

Councilman Rutledge gave the recreation report. Report is attached. Councilman Rutledge and Mayor Allen will meet on Saturday 26th, 2019 at 10:30 am to interview 2 people for the weekend gym position.

MAINTENANCE REPORT

Councilman Wyatt gave the report. Randy purchased a new chainsaw to replace the one that was stolen.

ADJOURMENT

Mayor Allen asked for a motion to adjourn the meeting. Councilman Wyatt made a motion to close the meeting. Councilman Austin seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
