CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Wyatt welcomed everyone to the meeting of the Resaca City Council.

 

INVOCATION

Councilmember Brant Talley led the meeting in prayer.

 

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Mayor Wyatt led the council meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag.

 

MINUTES

Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from the December meeting. Councilmember Keese made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes. Councilmember Adams seconded the motion. All in favor, the motion passed. Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to approve the minutes from the December meeting. Councilmember Talley made the motion to accept the minutes. Councilmember Adams seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.

 

 

 

 

 

NEW BUSINESS

 

Special Use Permit for Adam Rutledge

Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to approve the Special Use Permit. Councilmember Talley made a motion to approve. Councilmember Rutledge seconded. All in favor. The motion passed.

 

Qualifying Fees for 2025

Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to approve the qualifying fee of $75.60 for Post 3 and Post 4. Councilmember Keese made the motion to appove. Councilmember Talley seconded. All in favor. The motion passed.

SHERIFF’S DEPT

Lt. Jack Jenkins gave the report for December. The report is attached to minutes.

 

RECREATION

Councilmember Rutledge gave the recreation report. Report is attached.

 

ROADS AND STREETS

No updates to report.

 

LIGHTS

No updates to report.

 

MAINTENANCE REPORT

Councilmember Talley reports on general maintenance duties and recommends community center bathroom repair and remodel. Mayor Wyatt asked for council to get bids for this project.

 

FROM THE FLOOR

Chad Steward spoke on the HB581 and proposed FLOST tax.

 

ADJOURNMENT

Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to close the meeting.  Councilmember Adams made the motion to close the meeting. Councilmember Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor.  Motion passed.
