CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Allen welcomed everyone to the meeting of the Resaca City Council.
INVOCATION
Councilman Todd Rutledge lead the meeting in prayer.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Allen led the council meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag.
MINUTES – Mayor Allen ask for a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from the January meeting Councilman Wyatt made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes. Councilman Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor, the motion passed. Mayor Allen ask for a motion to approve the minutes from January meeting. Councilwoman Adams made the motion to accept the minutes. Councilman Rutledge seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
NEW BUSINESS
Mia Cobb – Coosa River Basin Initiative – Ms Cobb gave a summary about what they are trying to do in reference to the fracking policies and regulations. She was asking Resaca to consider adopting their resolution to update regulations on the industry. Attorney Bert Nobles took a copy and is reviewing it for Resaca.
Stanley Simpson – Mr. Simpson spoke to the council about rezoning some property located on Soldiers Pathway. He is interested in selling the property and if so it will need to be rezoned to commercial. He will get back with the council when he gathers more information.
UPDATES
Councilman Rutledge gave an update on getting rubber flooring/mats in the gym.

ROAD AND STREETS
Councilman Wyatt gave a report on Streets.
Sheriff’s Report
Clerk Kelly Shaw gave the report. The report is attached to minutes.
LIGHTS
Councilwoman Adams report no light problems at this time.
RECREATION
Councilman Rutledge gave the recreation report. Report is attached.
MAINTENANCE REPORT
Maintenance Supervisor Randy Wheat reported that we may need to put a new roof on the Fire Department. He was advised to get several quotes and report to the council.
ADJOURMENT
Mayor Allen asked for a motion to adjourn the meeting. Councilman Wyatt made a motion to close the meeting. Councilwoman Adams seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.
