CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Wyatt welcomed everyone to the meeting of the Resaca City Council.

 

INVOCATION

Councilmember Brant Talley led the meeting in prayer.

 

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Mayor Wyatt led the council meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag.

 

MINUTES

Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from the September meeting. Councilmember Adams made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes. Councilmember Talley seconded the motion. All in favor, the motion passed. Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to approve the minutes from the September meeting. Councilmember Adams made the motion to accept the minutes. Councilmember Talley seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passed.

 

 

 

 

NEW BUSINESS

 

Town Hall/Fire Hall exterior Painting

Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to open voting for the exterior painting for Town Hall and Fire Hall quote of $14,925.00 from H & H Services. Councilmember Talley made a motion to open voting. Councilmember Adams seconded. Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to approve the quote from H & H Services.  Councilmember Adams made a motion to approve. Councilmember Talley seconded. All in favor. The motion passed. Funds will be dispersed from Splost 2018 account under Town Hall Project.

 

UPDATES AND UNFINISHED BUSINESS

 

Tabled from September-Approve bid for Town Hall Parking Lot

Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to vote on bids for Parking Lot. Councilmember Talley made a motion to open voting. Councilmember Adams seconded. Councilmember Talley made a motion to accept the middle bid from CR Coatings at $20,625.00, due to the quality of work. Councilmember Rutledge seconded. All in favor. The motion passed. Funds will be dispersed from Splost 2018 account under Town Hall Project.  The lowest bid was rejected after looking further into the quality of work performed by each company.

 

DEPARTMENT REPORTS

 

 

SHERIFFS DEPT

Lt. Jack Jenkins gave the report for September. The report is attached to minutes.

 

LIGHTS

Councilmember Adams reports lights are all working.

 

RECREATION

Councilmember Rutledge gave the recreation report. Report is attached. Councilmember Talley reports that the Gym users are enjoying the new gym renovation.

 

ROADS AND STREETS

Mayor Wyatt reports that the Ride-share has been repaired. Town Hall parking lot had a hole that has been patched.

 

MAINTENANCE REPORT

Councilmember Talley reports general work duties such as shrubbery, pressure washing building and playground, mowing, faucet repair, assembly of trashcans, trash pick-up on highway. Mayor Wyatt has asked that reflective vests be worn when working on the roadway.

 

ADJOURNMENT

Mayor Wyatt asked for a motion to close the meeting.  Councilmember Talley made the motion to close the meeting. Councilmember Adams seconded. All in favor.  Motion passed.
